The Story: Barbie turned 60 this year, and to celebrate she’s reinventing herself with a new line of diverse Barbie dolls.

The Idea: A pop-up experience in NYC, allowing fans to literally see themselves as anything they want to be — from the first woman on Mars to the first female U.S. president.


We believe this generation of girls and young women will claim these last firsts. And that their daughters will never know a world or job or dream women haven’t conquered.

An AR Barbie filter on Snapchat and Facebook allowed girls around the world to snap a photo or video, choosing their dream “first.”
