The Story: Female business owners face several challenges from the start — they receive limited funding, lack financial support and are often denied loans due to gender and cultural biases.
The Idea: To support female entrepreneurs, we invited women across the country to pitch their established businesses or new business ideas to us in 30-second videos on Instagram using #DOVEInstaGrants.
Women across the country shared their entrepreneurial stories with over 260 entries submitted.
We leveraged financial influencers Tori Dunlap and Carmen Perez to drive awareness and entries for the program.
Three incredible innovators were chosen by our panel, with work spanning the gamut from sustainable farming, an app that detects signs of dementia and a program to help instill math confidence in young black girls.
